Film SPHR South Sulawesi
Weaving Joint Actions, Strengthening People’s Sovereignty Over Natural Resources/Agrarian Management
This film tells the journey of the establishment of the People’s Legal Education School (SPHR) in the province of South Sulawesi. The process of forming the school is carried out through education and critical legal training in several communities spread across the districts of East Luwu, North Luwu, Sidenreng Rappang (Sidrap), and Takalar.
This SPHR film attempts to explain the conflicts between the local people-based legal system and the formal legal system or the state version, which then lead to legal tensions. Through the film produced by the Wallacea Association and HuMa, the presence of SPHR in South Sulawesi can serve as a means of advocating for people’s rights in the expropriation of natural resources/agrarian, a platform for cadreship, and capable of producing analyses related to the legal dynamics at the local level.
