Job Vacancy – Program Coordinator

The Indonesian Legal Aid Foundation (HuMa) is a non-profit non-governmental organization that focuses its programs and activities on efforts to strengthen the rights of local/customary communities over natural resources through legal education, policy advocacy, documentation of conflicts, and dissemination of information, both through book production, bulletins, websites, CDs, and posters. Currently, HuMa works in various regions in Indonesia and collaborates with several partners in the area.

We are offering opportunities for energetic, progressive, and positive-thinking young people who enjoy challenges and are ready to work under pressure. They should be able to work on forestry policy and legal reform issues, as well as human resources development in the legal field.

 

Position/Title: PROGRAM COORDINATOR.

Status: Permanent with a 12-month contract, including a three (3) month probation period, and extension based on performance.

 

Required qualifications:

  1. Educational background in Law, minimum Bachelor’s Degree (S1).
  2. Knowledge in legal matters, especially natural resources, indigenous communities, and farmers.
  3. Ability to manage programs.
  4. Minimum of 10 years of work experience and/or 6 years for applicants with a Master’s Degree (S2) background.
  5. Good oral and written communication skills, teamwork, and able to work under pressure (deadlines).
  6. Willingness to travel to HuMa partner regions (West Sumatra, West Java & Banten, Central Java, West Kalimantan, Central Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, and other areas).
  7. Proficiency in English, both active and passive.
  8. Ability to work in a network (networking).
  9. Provide two references.
