To photograph a small hamlet named Ngrimpak, we can observe it through its history and existing socio-cultural perspective. History in Javanese society is considered to originate from “sejare-jare” (words, apparently) – a statement that is deemed likely (assumed, but real). History is still shrouded in elements of legend and mythology, which are very strong without more profound heuristic and critical stages.
