MEDAN, Legal News – Residents of North Siantar Village, Parmaksian District, Tobasa Regency are demanding money from PT Toba Pulp Lestari (PT TPL) amounting to Rp 1.5 billion and Rp 2 million per household per year. According to the villagers, they were affected by the waste disaster from PT TPL around 11-12 November 2012, which resulted in many of their crops being damaged and no longer suitable for use (consumption).
