Socio-Legal Research Workshop & Thesis and Dissertation Preparation Guidance workshop

Social reality, violations of rights, and injustices in society have stirred concerns among legal academics and students to incorporate them into legal research. However, the juridical-normative research method alone is sometimes deemed insufficient in analyzing and addressing these issues. Therefore, a socio-legal study is needed, which can contextually respond to the need for substantive justice.

On the other hand, the curriculum in Law Faculties has not widely incorporated socio-legal research methods, especially in legal education. Consequently, many undergraduate and postgraduate law students in various universities who are interested in discussing topics/issues of social justice require guidance and assistance in preparing their final project proposals.

Based on that, the Indonesian Human Rights Study and Advocacy Association (HuMa) in collaboration with the Indonesian Legal Students Association of the University of Indonesia and the Business Law Students Association of BINUS University, are offering an opportunity to Law Program undergraduate and graduate students who are preparing their final project proposals or are interested in writing academic papers (thesis/dissertation) on social justice themes, to register for the event “Socio-Legal Research Workshop & Guidance on Thesis and Dissertation Proposal Formulation”.
